ARAY
(Adventures in Recreation for All Youth)

TEAAM’s ARAY program is a series of weekend retreats that are theme driven. ARAY (Adventures in Recreation for All Youth) is an adventure based program developed for teenagers with Asperger Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, Related Developmental Disabilities and their neuro-typical peers (ages 11 to 20). ARAY is a one-of a kind and first-of-its-kind program being developed by TEAAM. Most of our ARAY adventures will take place at The Center Ridge Outpost, located in Smith County, Mississippi, but occasionally our adventures will take us outward bound so that our adventurers can experience all that Mississippi and surrounding states have to offer. Participants will experience adventurous weekends that focuses on introducing new and exciting opportunities to learn, have fun and make friends. Each group is under the supervision of trained staff that not only understands autism spectrum disorders but also knows how to have fun in the great outdoors. Session themes include: Camping, Hiking, Paddling, Biking, Climbing, Deep Sea Fishing, Shrimping, and Caving. Along with these opportunities, others are being planned as new ideas develop. The ARAY program offers a once in a lifetime opportunity for all participants to do things and go places that many only dream about.
For Adventurers 21 years and older we host AWB (Adventures Without Boundaries). For more information on this program, please go to the AWB option under the PROGRAMS tab.
